guys, I work in a high-end body shop, and one thing you have to keep in mind on debadging is that on some colors, and depending on the age of the car, there will be a shadow left by the badge...the rest of the paint faded just a hair so you may still see the badge outline in certain light

The thing I see all the time is a guy with an S320 asking me to replace the emblems with S500 or God forbid, S600 emblems. The BMW guys with 745's suddenly becoming 750's and 760's are almost beyond belief. I think it'd be more fun to have a hotrod S-class and badge it as a 300 diesel and really keep everyone guessing.
