I think Brabus used manually adjustable tappets (as opposed to the M103's self adjusting hydraulic ones) to tune the maximum power out of the engine. Perhaps it this was necessary to advance the timing code to 'N' seems to make sense. It gives the engine a lovely gruff straight six noise on acceleration .
