About the transmission vacuum part, I don't know if its that or not. Mine has 4 ports, 2 top and 2 bottom, they are labled. TOP: 1, VAC 2, EGR BOTTOM: 1, Atm, 2, VCV. Also, there are 2 valve looking items beside the main part, and they have hoses (and eletrical plugs, but the main part has no elc. conections) that also run into the main part and else where (hoses go into conduit, and can't trace) So maybe this will help.
Thanks

Randy
For sure it regulates transmission vacuum with inputs from the vacuum control valve (VCV) and vacuum (VAC). This one also affects the EGR in some fashion (EGR) but, I've got no idea what the intent is.
