My first car ('73 Chrysler Newport) was Walter-named after his dad Walter Chrysler. I liked to say that Walter was Christine's cousin (remember that book/movie?). Second ('72 Mercury Montego with black primer, hot cam, 4bbl, and duals with glasspacks) was The Beast. 3rd was just some '76 Buick. 4th ('63 Dodge Dart with '79 360 and 4bbl on an Edelbrock intake with duals and glasspacks) was the second Beast. Lincoln Town Car is just that-no name, though I thought about Mary Todd (Lincoln: nut-case first lady from the Civil War). Then there's Sammy the Samurai.

For the Benz, the plate says U 505 (bit of WWII history). Not sure if it's a male or female. Considering Hans if the former or Ilse if the latter. One of my Navy buddies had a '65 CJ5 named Clifford.
