No plastic dip. I figure I'm not using them often enough to coat the handles so I just spray painted them. The other wrench I should do some more grinding on so it would look better but thats when a lot of other stuff is finished. I cut about 1/4 of an inch off a 30mm socket and used that. By the way The total cost was no more than $10, so cheep wrenches work just fine.
