do you think this is a good/bad idea?

I was at kragen today buying some power service anti-gel for my mercedes since its getting close to feezing temps (SF may have its first snow!! yes! )
And i stopped and took a look at the fuel filters, and i bought a fuel filter similar to this one on ebay. I replaced the plastic prefilter with this one, what do you guys think yay or ney? Ive already put it on and it runs the same and i wanted it for better filtering just incase i didnt filter the wvo all that well.
