What about a pancake 4-53 turning 2400rpm? Sounds ultra BAAAAD but, does little more than turn diesel into heat and noise. Our shrimper would absolutely HOWL at you...they don't call 'em

OTOH, the German 3-cyl, N/A, 40hp engine in my Deere 2040 sounds like it wants to go to work just sitting there idling...I love hearing that little jewel hunker down and swing a shredder through tall grass; it will work all day long on a teacup of fuel too.
