Earlybird, you beat me to it! Yes, Captain Scott, by all means pull out the injection points off of the distributor base, and clean them,

Have you considered it might be sticky injectors? Grab some D-Jet injectors and swap them out (the line is pressurized, so be sure and let some of it relieve pressure, not in your face!)

Also, did you check timing (hookup on #1 cylinder), what are you seeing at idle with vacuum connected/disconnected? Might have a vacuum line problem with the distributor advance system?

There is a computer with knob under your passenger kickpanel this adjusts lean/richness, as well as the idle air control valve right next to the idle control valve. Are you getting good idle readings currently?

This was one of the good reasons I made the jump to CIS. My '75 D-Jet SL was a pain in the a**!
