6k synthetic, 3k dino changes.
I'm with you on brands. What ever is on sale. Between the thousands and thousands of miles my family have logged plus the millions that my clients have driven over the years, brand never seemed to make a difference. I don't understand why you have different intervals for synthetic and dino though. The additives get used up at the same rate. In my opinion there are only three reasons to spend the extra money on a synthetic. #1 The car mfg warrantee requires it. #2 I'm pulling an extremely heavy load in extreme climates. #3 I'm driving a diesel in the mountains in winter, because the synthetic will allow the engine to spin faster to produce the heat needed for ignition.
