I had the head gasket replaced on my 1989 260E with 360,000km last year and the was absolutely no corrosion there.
While the head is off, it is appropriate to check for valve guides as these are one of the problem area with this engine. Original guides wore more rapidely thanon other engine.
At least, go for new valve seals.
Sorry, can't help on bolts and tools.
