I am sorry to hear that new switches did not solve your problem. I too dislike throwing money away replacing good parts. Perhaps a forum member with access to a circuit diagram (schematic) can post it. The circuit can't be that complicated, and there's no reason to have to "live with it". A diagram would make diagnosing this much easier.
