My car has been hesitating at part throttle. I noticed as of lately it has not. I decided to check the pressure regulator function for the egr and found 23mmHg going in and 0 coming out to the egr even at idle. So I decided to plug the line going to the regulator and leave the other line that goes to the egr in place. There now is no vacuum going to the egr at anytime. So I take it for a ride and drive it around to the post office and there is no code.

I did this before and there was a code. Brakes feel more responsive which I figured. So now I know what the part throttle hesitation was.

How did I get my egr disabled without setting a code? Is it because I lost vacuum gradually over time?

I am stumped but happy for sure!
