the cranks are all drilled for the pilot bearings on a benz, in my experience. the best solution is a 300 euro flywheel but a 240 will work. the 300 weighs 38# the 240 28. so the heavier one will make it idle smoother. the fsm says they must be balanced with your exising fw. but many of us have found them to be neutrally balanced so it is best to have it checked for balance... and the fw you take out too. if the one off your motor is not neutral you need to balance the new fw with it. it shows how to do this in the fsm.
