Will I guess I will have to wait till monday to hear if Caliber motors can get me the European metal engine cover that replaces the fiber glass one for my 1992 300E 3.0. I did not think to ask ,but how much does these cover weight? are they armor plated steel? not that bothers me but it the term Panzer tank may well be applied to a Mercedes-Benz fitted with this option.

Since my dealer parts person said he did not see availability in Germany and was wiring Germany to inquiry about this part (no price Quote yet) I am wondering how many spares of these exsist since they seen to be indistructable.

I will keep every one informed as to what I fine out next week.
