Could it be the Fuel Pumps (yes two)

The car runs fine, or it stales or it just won’t start.

The most common symptom is that it will drive over 60 MPH it just won't accelerate to 60 very fast.

My first thought is that the fuel pump may be slicking or such.

The car has two pumps in-line. One on bottom is somewhat noisy.

No big grinding noise.

Your thoughts and suggestions. I was considering replacing the noisy pump, then thought - hmm, (old wine skin bible story) perhaps I should replace both.

Are there other common causes for these symptoms?

Thanks

Original fuel pumps on the car.

Anymore I have it in my driveway, waiting ot be fixed, just don't trust it. Was going to have it towed to the shop, but am considering one shot at fixing it first.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I may be off base trhinking it's the Fuel Pump.
