The rear seal isn't too bad to replace, but getting to it is a little work. Make the little tool to cut the rope seal off square after you've seated it in the block. Then, install the other half in the upper oil pan. It's supposed to have 1mm interference on each side total. Then, reinstall crank, upper oil pan, front seal, remainder of engine. Remove from engine stand, and reinstall in vehicle (better to do it WITH the transmission) Use the right sealant between upper oil pan and block.
