I've never tried to lift one by the floorboards, but I suppose that could be a problem if there is significant oxidation present. Actually it would cause problems if there was NO oxidation! Unibody cars should NEVER be lifted by the floorboards! Always use the suspension, rocker box or torque box jack points.
