I can't say for sure how long a 617 will run on 1 Liter, but it should be a lot longer than 1-2 minutes, at least 15-20 min or more. Somehow you seem to have a major overfueling condition, is your IP rack damper or full load screw cranked all the way?
By the way, I have also been researching this conversion for my CJ and would be curious to know some info reagrding transmission used, adapter plate, and if the 4x4 transfer case is still connected. Any info you know and are willing to share would be greatly appreciated.
