original engine, and 4 speed trans. have gone thru lots of tires, battries, brakes, 1 complete rebuilt front end, 4 u-joints, 3 alternaters, starter pulled twice and rebuilt average mpg for last few years is 36mpg. use to get 40mpg, but dropped with the last set of tires, goodyear (never again)

radio no longer works, odometer stopped and 491,000, but use a hand held gps to keep up with miles. never had a/c.

still runs but this is my fall, winter, spring daily. with no a/c.

bought 1981 mb 240d with only 170,000. Thinking if an isuzu could last 500,00 then this mb should last me a good 5 years.
