It sounds like maybe you are stuck in *that* place.

Wherever you can't get out of the car unless you do one of two things: 1) sell the car for it's real value, losing money in the process. or 2) pumping money into it to help it fetch a better price.

Your car sounds like it may be in the 1-1.5k range if the interior and driveline are in top shape-- won't buy you much of another car, will it? Is the air-conditioner working? Tires and suspension?

I think this situation presents itself quite often whenever people that can't really afford a Mercedes-Benz try to-- they often have to take a loss on top of everything else. I'm in the same boat, but am lucky enough to have a good reliable car to drive while the Mercedes sits waiting for it's repairs.

Good luck finding your way out from under it! I know it can be very unsettling to be in this situation.
