If you're speaking about the gauge that Danny used, it's a standard dial indicator with suitable attachment hardware. It's not an M/B gauge. AutoZone probably won't have it.
I'd use the marks on the tower first. You don't need the gauge for an initial check just to get a quick idea of where you are.
The SD reads 2.5° with the tower marks. I never bothered with the proper setup with the gauge.
