My old 1992 190E 2.6 was fitted with eibach lowering springs and I had AMG 5-spoke 7.5 wide by 17" dia. with 205/40/17 tires and there was no rubbing in the front or back (though you could put a 8.5" rim on the back with bigger rubber, I'm told). I tried a 215/45 all around and an 8" rim and they rubbed. It all depends on how low your car is and the bump pads/shocks are too. If your fenders are rolled you should be good though as I did not, hence the rubbing. Those 205/45/17 should work out fine provided they aren't on a rim wider than 7.5"...which isn't recommended for the small sedan...except for those who pimp and pander. Just my 2 pennies.Hope it helps.
