Novice Intercooler question
Dear All,
My Turbo charged OM616 (18000 Km) does not have an intercooler.
People claim that adding an intercooler adds about 10HP to the engine
1) Is this 10 HP figure true?
2) Where will this 10 HP show itself, at low rpm or at high rpm. In other words , will the car pull more or go faster?
3) I plan to put the Older Mercedes Transit van's Intercooler as an intercooler for OM616 is not available in India. Can an Intercooler be too big ? can a big intercooler cause any problems.
4) Would I be wrong to try to use intercoolers from other engines that are smaller and therefore easier to install, Like peugeot 1.3 L . What are the precautions I must take.
5) Would any one advice against adding the intercooler for any reason.
