My 93 190E 2.6 is lowered about 1.5" from Eibach springs up front, and another 20mm from switching to the smallest perch/pad/shim height.

I have fenders rolled, and use 215/50/16 on 16x7.5s. No rubbing at all, even on extremely high dips at triple digit speeds, and I never leave the ground either :p

I tried 18x8s with 225/35/18, and they fit just fine, except the rub on the inside corner where the corner of the sheet metal meets the fender, and i just cut a little bit of the off. Works great!

Good Luck.
