If you take a close look at the performance figures (Below) the E320CDI Diesel Wagon (Not sold in USA. Poor choice by MB) out-performs the E320 V6 Petrol version.

I have one and it goes like a bat out of hell.
The advantage to a Diesel is that the torque kicks in at about 1400 rpm and is there all the way to the max revs (4500 rpm).
Also there is no Turbo lag.

NOTE the Miles per Gallon figures. If you are in USA this might not matter, but in UK both petrol and Diesel is over $5.00 a gallon

Anyone know of a faster/better performance diesel Wagon. Or for that matter a E320CDI saloon car. (The BMW is not as fast! before someone puts their foot in it)
