A lot of other forums use a "thread tag". I'm not sure if these support it. It's a tiny little graphical banner that indicates a subcategory, e.i:

Body
Interior
Engine
Oil
Fuel
Cooling
Electric
Vacuum
Suspension
Brakes

And so on...
