A lot to some. Quality, engineering perfection, soul and a few other things. I can honestly say I enjoy riding and driving in any MB, it has never gotten old for me. Nothing like pushing a massive S class to its limits and seeing it do things that cars half its mass cannot. No car is built to be worked on like a MB, they are ment to be fixed simple as that. Working on a Honda by comparison is torture.

The technoligy in the S class for example is 10-20 years ahead of the average family sedan. MB had air suspension in the 60's when American cars had live rear axles. In the 50's MB had fuel injection. MB hasn't used a drum brake in probably 40 years. ABS and SRS were standard starting in 1986, options before then. 97% of the worlds governments own S class's for a reason.

Simply put MB has and continues to produce some of the most exciting cars in the world.
