I have a friend with a 1999 ML430 with BOSE. The sound seemed pretty decent to me...
that is, until you got into the back seat!! Back seat sound was so incredibly crappy, I can't even believe Mercedes made a BOSE stereo that sounded so... lifeless.

I also don't like the head unit stereo in the MLs... why did the make them different?!
