I have an '85 300CD that needs a repaint, new rubber, window wipers etc. I would like to remove the aluminum and chrome trim along the side windows and roof gutter prior to turning it over to the paint shop. I had no trouble getting the lower side trim out of its clips, but at the back of the rear window, where the trim wraps around the back of the window frame and runs up to the roof gutter, it simply refuses to come loose. I don't want to trash it - but I'm at a loss as to the pressure/pry point that will release this trim so I can remove it.
