First time I've seen those barriers. I kinda like them, except I would make them pointy at the ends
I'd make their speed adjustable too....If sensors indicate a vehicle, they would pop up really fast - with some luck, they could poke through the hood
Non traffic application: One or two smaller poles in front of your front door, to get rid of those people wanting you to witness something or other. They'd get the point in a hurry.
