Jadavis is correct that it lacks lubricity and that as little as 2% vegetable oil will overcome this shortcoming. Marvel Mystery oil or many other lubricants could also be used at a lesser rate.
I get K1 (kerosene) at the local Sunoco station for $2.499/gal.

I work in refining and the cetane value we used for kerosene is 38. Diesel cetane usually runs above 45. The heavier the hydrocarbon the greater the cetane.
