But,
my son (18) and 3 of his friends slept out at Best Buy last night. I stopped by around 9:30PM 1/2hr after they got there, and they were about 100 in line. Just onto the grass past BB & Beyond.
There was maybe 150 people there, mostly teens and 20's, and they were having a blast. Reminded me of when we waited on lines for Dead shows in the good ol days. Except a lot cleaner, and we never played Monopoly waiting on line for Dead shows....lol
I gave my son 200. to get me a digital camera, and keep the change. I got a nice 7.1 MPX Kodak thingy, and he got $60. for the effort.
A friend of his got a Toshiba laptop for 250.
Being that most of the people I saw were young I think it was a pretty cool opportunity for them to take their weekly checks and buy stuff they normally couldn't afford.
