The Euro W123 wagons have a rear fog light on the left and a back-up light on the right. The Euro lights are larger than the US spec back-up lights and won't fit into the US bumpers. They are also not DOT approved so must be for off road use only.
The rear fog light works by pulling the light switch out two clicks. This also illuminates the little orange center in the light switch to remind you that the rear fog light is on.
Boostnbenz has a DIY thread that tells how to switch leads in the fuse box so the fogs will come on with just the running lights or the low beams.
