I don't think there were electronic transmissions in the '91's, but I could be wrong. Can you find a number on that part? If it's not electronic, there will still be wires for the starter lock-out and reverse light, a vacuum line for the modulator and of course the fluid lines that run to the cooler (in the radiator).

As far as the engine is concerned, the Megasquirt may be the way to go. Otherwise you could get a Holley or other aftermarket fuel-injection system. If you know what car this came from, you might be able to get the service information on CD or DVD from the factory for as little as $20 plus shipping.
