i wouldn't be surprised if the ELF Excellium LDX 5w-40 MB 229.3 (the 505.00 you're carrying) performs at the level or better than M1 anything. i'm still UOA testing this oil in a 85300Dturbo i sold to my buddy. here's the UOA from it. the first (bottom) UOA was the oil that was in the car when purchased, the second (top) is the ELF and that oil is still in and will be run to 6000 miles at least:
since you have access, if it were my MBs i'd do some UOAs to see which oil performs best and then stick with it - M1, ELF, or whatever.
