I used a cheap Harbor Freight 3/4" drive socket with a wobble extension.
(Hint to make this job a little less of a mess: Find a barbed nipple and a 5' piece of clear hose the same size as the fuel hose. Use a pair of hemostats or needle-nose vise grips to pinch off the fuel hose before detaching from the hard line. Couple the ends, run your hose to a container/s release the hemostats and viola less mess.
Then you can use the hemostats to stop the flow and change containers.)
