No kidding. I'm absolutely in agreement with you on this. In about 2 years of looking for a 126 coupe to buy, I only ever saw two of them in California, and neither one was for sale. Usually they are seen with Palomino colored interiors. Even signal red (fire engine red) 124/126 coupes were more common.

Seen more rarely than this color is "blackberry" a kind of dark purple to red (factory) color.
