Take the EGR off and toss it out. The small increase in pollution is negligible in the grand scheme of things.

Pouring used motor oil into a hole in the ground however is inexcusable and incredibly stupid. Recycling centers are plentiful and the pollution is far greater than a non-functioning EGR.
