defrost circuit on 124

The issue is that the power on lite stays lit all the time on a '87 300D. I have attached a schematic of what I am using to do the troubleshooting. Even with the switch on the dash board removed I have power all the time on "5" from the N10 combination relay. This relay is supposed to turn off automatically 15 minutes after turn on but it is energized the minute I put the car in accy, run or start.
Based on my understanding of troubleshooting it seems as though the relay is bad. Anybody have any other ideas/suggestions on this troubleshooting logic?
