The filter is in a canister on the right forward side of the engine. It is removed with a 17 mm socket. If you happen to still have a plastic undershield, you will have to drop the aft end of it to drain the oil and remove the filter.

I think there may be more discussion on the disel forums because

1) People are generally more unfamiliare with disels.

2) Most people who own them are trying to figure out how to make them go faster

3) There is probably a large veg oil group discussing how to make conversions.
