Benz, your probably right. I have the pump off, that's how I arrived at 12. I have the two sides and the top-middle loose about and 1/8" or so but the head gasket-timing cover union on both sides is tough. Am going to try carbuerator cleaner and or lacquer thinner on the gasket to see what happens. Milt.
