new to the board but have been reading for a few days. i just bought a 1974 240-d and got it home today. the car drives and runs good but the idle is real high, i turned the idle screw all the way out and also loosened the ajustment on the cable by the pump. the idle is still way high and it also smoke pretty bad while idling. any help would be appriciated. thanks.
