Well, it gets a little more complicated than market destination.

Yes, M-Bs did came standard with MPH speedometers for U.K., Hong Kong and U.S.A.

But the option was openly available on the option list and as a "no charge option". Hence you may find (which I have seen) a car destined for a non-MPH regulation market and it could come with a MPH speedometer.
