I'm getting close to bolting an OM616 up to my 1967 SIIa Land Rover. I have an adapter plate made by a guy that has already done this conversion with success. In trying to bolt the adapter plate up to the aluminum engine plate/flywheel housing, one of the studs was totally off.

Were there different versions of these engine plates throughout the years? This motor is out of a 1980 240D.
