I fixed my eratic idle, loss of power and no-start condition
It was the shut off valve on the ignition switch. Apparently it was sticking. It would sometimes stick open and not allow the engine to start. Sometimes it would stick half-way and the engine power would be reduced. Sometimes it would stick a little bit and the idle wouldn't be consistent.

I'm a happy camper now.
