The odd thing is that I remember a few years ago, when in Germany, MB got *****ed out and ridiculed for making cars that started to rust too soon.
They ended up doing repairs/repaints for owners.

And here, we have a more obvious quality issue, and they sit on their thumbs saying: I see nossing, I hear nossing, I did not even vake up siss morning.

I honestly don't know if I will buy another Benz - If I do, I doubt it will be one of their newer ones...I don't trust them anymore.

Now....some of you might say: Come on, Larry, it's a 13 year old car...whaddaya want? Well....I'd probably show you the wiring on my 24 and 36 year old Benz and point out that it, is still intact. I would also tell you that I had no problem replacing a chip in the LH injection module, because engineers failed to anticipate warmer environments (shortsightedness happens); I also had no problem replacing my calipers (1 frozen) and a fuel line section, as well as the MAF sensor - these are all things that are not completely unexpected. But, having the insulation fall off of the copper wires it is supposed to protect, and then denying it's occurance, is not only a bold-faced lie, it's a slap in the face to every Benz owner, including Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler.

off the soapbox for now....
