Thanks for all the info on this tach repair. When I get around to addressing my broken trach, I'll post anything I learn.

Does anyone know how to test the tachomoter gauge in the instrument cluster? I'm planning to replace my rheostat tomorrow, so I would like to test the tach gauge while I have the cluster out. Also, I have read in the forum that cleaning the plug on the rpm sensor has brought a dead tach back to life... hopfully my fix will be this easy!
