Exclamation Trouble Downloading PDFs with IE - Help

I'm suddenly not able to download PDFs off the web with my main computer. I just noticed the problem after installing the new Internet Explorer. I'm wondering if it's connected.

Sometimes before the download, I would also have trouble downloading PDFs, but if I rebooted, no problem. Now that doesn't help.

Computer is 1-1/2 years old, Dell Dimension 9100 Pentium 4 3.0GHz 1GB RAM running XP2002 SP2.

I'm able to download PDFs on a considerably older computer which I didn't "upgrade" to the new IE, which also has 1GB RAM

I can open up PDFs that are in the hard disc of the main computer or received in email, but not off the web.

I'm thinking I should add RAM. Maybe another GB. What do you think?

But I can't figure out why this computer would be hooging so much RAM. I have a minimum of programs open at start-up.

I'd like to stay with IE, as it helps me diagnose problems others may have with my business website.

Thanks,
Al
