Well, I din't actually do anything crazy while I was drunk, but the way in which I got my beer was very stupid. My friend from Nashville came to visit for a weekend, and we decided that we would celebrate with some beer. Both being under 21, we decided that we needed to find someone old enough to buy us beer. So I suggest that we pull a "hey mister" outside of a convenience store. I also decided that the best place to do this would be in a nearby neighborhood, or 'hood if you will, called Orange Mound. Orange Mound is probably the worst 'hood in Memphis; a perfect place to get beer. So anyway, I pull up to the convenience store in my friend's Impala, get out and find a suitable purchaser. As soon as I hand the guy my money and he walks in, I am immediately swarmed by a very ethnic group of folks who are all claiming that my friend and I are the pigs and are trying to bust their friend. This draws the attention of the store manager who walks out and tells me that I have to leave. So I hop back in the car right as our buddy is coming out with the beer. I signal to him that we will meet him down the street. Bad idea. He begins walking down to our car with our case of beer, along with his posse of about six other guys. Our car is immediately enveloped in a flood of ethnicity. I have one guy at my window saying "hey man gimme sum money." My friend has the beer buy at his window doing the same thing. About this time another fellow hops in the back of our car demanding our money. About this same time, I am becoming very irritable, so I turn around to the guy in the back and say matter of factly, "I'll give you the money when you get out of the car." I finally convince him to hop out, and as before his feet had even his the ground, I floored my friend's Impala. I had never been so glad to not be driving my Mercedes. Fortunately, we still got our beer, and we got wasted that night. Fun.
