Stereo spkr location in '70 280SE Conv.?

I am in the process of getting a rebuilt radio from Ed Ebel at Becker. They still service, rebuild and replace the vintage radios. I am getting the 1971 stereo version of the Gran Prix Radio as opposed to the 1970 mono stock version.

Question: Where can I put a second speaker on a convertible? I do not want to cut into the door panels and putting a speaking in the rear deck seems silly on a convertible (not to mention you end up cutting into the rear deck). So that leaves the card-board-like kick panels (which are missing on this car), or going under the dash or under the seats - at least that's all I can think of.

Ed also has the 190SL external speakers available and I thought of using that as well though it too is not stock for my model or year of MB. If I went this route - where could I put the speaker. BTW, under the center dash will not work due to the a/c unit.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
